The Firefighter For a Day Event is a free public event designed to allow people of all ages to see, interact and learn about the services provided by Alachua County Fire Rescue. As professional Firefighters/EMTs and Paramedics, we often do not get to interact with our community as our presence in the community is usually an indication of a crisis. This is an opportunity for young and old alike to learn about the organization. Please consider coming out and spending a couple hours allowing us to show you some of the amazing group of people and equipment that provide emergency services to our community.
If you have a disability and need an accommodation in order to participate in a county program, service or public meeting, please contact the Alachua County Equal Opportunity Office at (352) 374-5275 at least two business days prior to the event. TDD users, please call 711 ( Florida Relay Service)
