We administer local, state and federally funded grants to preserve and expand the availability of safe, sanitary and affordable housing in the County. In addition to providing financial assistance through grants and interest free, deferred payment loans, we also develop Affordable Housing Incentives to encourage single and multi-family affordable housing developments.

Coronavirus Relief Funds
Coronavirus Relief Funds

​The Alachua County Housing Program has been awarded funding through the Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF) in the amount of $556,533.00 to assist with Rental assistance payments (including back rent, deposits and utility payments), Mortgage payments and Landlord payments.

All applicants must be able to provide proof of hardship due to COVID-19, and must be at, or below, 120% Area Median Income (AMI), per HUD's income limits (please see chart in link below).

Applications will be accepted beginning on October 9, 2020 and end December 11, 2020, or when funds have been exhausted.  Payments will be made to qualified persons on a first come, first served basis.
