State Tank Compliance Program
Alachua County EPD is contracted with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to ensure that storage tank facilities are in compliance with state and federal regulations in Alachua, Clay, Marion, and Putnam Counties.
The primary focus of inspections is to protect the County's groundwater from being contaminated with petroleum or other hazardous substances and to assist facility owners with keeping their facility in compliance.
