Alachua County Recycles is your recycling resource!

We’ll assist you in meeting the mandatory commercial recycling ordinance.

Businesses generate approximately two-thirds of all garbage in Alachua County. By recycling your business’ paper, cardboard, metal, glass and plastic you could potentially reduce your waste disposal fees, while boosting your company’s image and preserving our natural resources.

If you are employed by, manage, or own a business, hotel, multi-family complex, and restaurant/ bar located in Alachua County, you qualify to receive complimentary recycling assistance.

What we do for you:

Provide technical assistance
We’ll perform an on-site waste assessment to analyze your waste stream and determine your recycling potential. This includes assessing your container needs, and strategic placement recommendations for collection areas.

Assist in coordinating recycling service options
We’ll provide list of franchised commercial haulers. We recommend obtaining three to four price bids for a hauling service.

Offer complementary printable signage
Do you need signage to designate recycling containers? We offer printable “What to Recycle” signs.

Recycling education and training for your staff.
Want to make sure your staff is on board? We’ll pop in at your next staff meeting and give a brief overview of your recycling system. If you need additional training support, just ask.
