Interval Sentencing
Interval Sentencing provides judges with an alternative to sentencing offenders to Straight Time at the county jail. Offenders who do not pose a threat to the community, and who are employed, are allowed to report on weekends (or other specified intervals) to teh Alachua County Sheriff's Department of the Jail. A Community Service staff monitors offender's attendance and reports compliance or non-compliance of each client to The Court and to Probation Staff.
Probationers are sentenced to Interval Sentencing in County Court, and must report to Court Services within 72 hours of being sentenced.

Fees
The monthly Cost of Supervision fee is $50.00. Probationers who exhibit an inability to pay may perform community service work hours in lieu of paying cost of supervision and some of the court assessments. Probationers are responsible for paying fees to the selected providers for any classes or treatment ordered by the Court. Probationers ordered to perform community service are assessed a fee for this service.
Those clients placed on Interval Sentences will be required to pay $40 Cost of Supervision every month while on Probation.
