Bring your garbage, recycling, scrap metal, tires, yard waste, or hazardous waste to the Leveda Brown Environmental Park & Transfer Station at 5115 NE 63rd Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32608. Find out what’s accepted, plus hours, rates and more.

      Before you go

Before you bring your haul to the Environmental Park & Transfer Station, remember to separate like items and cover your load.

      Separate like items

Sort and separate recyclables from the garbage in your load to make drop-off easier and more efficient. Cardboard, metal, recyclables, tires, yard waste, and hazardous materials should be separated in your load. Alachua County strives to ensure the above items are put in the appropriate place.

      Cover your load

Uncovered loads cause potential danger to other vehicles on the road if items fall off during transport, and can result in a littering fine. To stay safe, please cover it up and tie it down.

      Notice

Construction & demolition debris will no longer be accepted at the Environmental Park and Rural Collection Centers.
