11-15-17 Planning Commission and 11-16-17 Development Review Committee Items

The Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at 6 p.m. The Alachua County Development Review Committee will meet on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. Both meetings will be held in the Jack Durrance Auditorium (room 209) on the second floor of the County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).

Item for the Planning Commission

ZOS-03-17 (Harrington Special Use Permit) – This is a request by Stephanie Harrington, agent, for Harrington Land Trust, owners, for a special use permit to allow a package treatment plant. The site is 20.9 acres with an ‘A’ (Agriculture) zoning district and has future land use designations of Tourist/Entertainment and Rural Agriculture. The special use permit, if approved, would allow a package treatment plant (for the treatment of sewage) to be established on the site to serve a hotel located on the same parcel.   The site is located at 18420 N.W. Ropp Boat Dock – This is a Public Hearing to consider a Final Development Plan and Floodplain Development Permit to replace an existing boat dock in excess of 1000 sq. ft. on approximately 0.50 acre at 21114 N.E. 117th Avenue. Heathrow Place Rural/Ag Subdivision – This is a Public Hearing to consider a Preliminary Development Plan for a rural agricultural subdivision; with 9 lots on approximately 51.074 acres in the 1900 Block of N.W. 154th Street. Kingston Place Rural/Ag Subdivision – This is a public hearing to consider a Preliminary Development Plan for a rural agricultural subdivision; with 24 lots on approximately 124.05 acres in the 14820-15400- Block of N.W. 21st Avenue.
