Assist the Energy Management Supervisor in implementing and monitoring energy management systems and measures throughout Alachua County government owned facilities.

Duties:

  1. Assist in developing and implementing energy master plans
  2. Coordinate the installation of energy conservation measures
  3. Assist with conducting energy audits & monitoring energy usage
  4. Perform economics of energy reduction projects
  5. Assist with developing a major asset replacement program

County Manager’s Office: Office of Management and Budget

Budget Analyst Intern

This is an ideal opportunity for the right candidates to be groomed in the public administration profession.  There will be opportunities to attend the Board of County Commissioners meetings, develop presentations for those meetings, learn budgetary principles, apply budgetary principles in a real world environment, dialogue with the County Manager during round table discussions, and grow and learn how to apply theory in a real world environment. 

 

Required Skills:

MS Word and a basic working knowledge of Excel

 

Duties Include:

Assist with Special Budget Meeting agendas and presentations for the Board of County Commissioners, assisting with the development of the FY 2013 Budget and Budget Document, Fiscal Policies and Reports; general office duties assisting the Financial Management Analysts, and research in a broad range of areas involving local government.

 

Hours Requested:

Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm

Hours will be flexible to work within interns’ schedule.
