The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Environmental Horticulture program for October 2023. This program is being offered by Dr. Cynthia Nazario-Leary, Environmental Horticulture Agent.
Backyard Chickens – October 10, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Alachua County Ag Auditorium (22716 W. Newberry Road, Newberry), conducted by Dr. Cindy Sanders, Director/Livestock Agent IV, UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County
This presentation includes small-scale backyard chickens (including free range/pasture/organic poultry, various breeds, and proper selection). In addition, information is given about facility needs, predators, and basic nutrition.
There is no registration fee, but participants must
register online. The class is limited to 100 participants.
