March Environmental Horticulture Program

The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Environmental Horticulture program for March 2024. This program is offered by Dr. Cynthia Nazario-Leary, an agent of environmental horticulture, and master gardener volunteers.

Composting – March 12, from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Alachua County Ag Auditorium (22716 W. Newberry Rd., in Newberry)

Composting is a great way to turn kitchen scraps and yard waste into what gardeners call "black gold." 
This will be a hands-on and in-the-dirt presentation. The emphasis of the class will be on ease of composting and its many benefits. 

There is no registration fee, but participants must register online. It is limited to 100 participants.
