January Environmental and Community Horticulture Programs 2021

lemonsThe UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Environmental and Community Horticulture programs for January 2021. These programs are being offered by Dr. Taylor Clem, Environmental and Community Horticulture Agent.

Seed Starting – January 5, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This is a Zoom webinar.

This presentation will discuss how seeds grow, the timing of planting seeds, supplies needed for starting seeds, how to make a grow light, and tips for composting.

There is no registration fee, but participants must register online. This webinar is limited to 100 participants.

Backyard Citrus – January 19, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This is a Zoom webinar.

The class will cover variety selection, fertilizing, troubleshooting, pest control, and cold protection for backyard citrus plants. 

There is no registration fee, but participants must register online. This webinar is limited to 100 participants.
