Commission Seeks Proposals for Annual Alachua County Jail Inmate Phone System and Services

The Alachua County Commission (hereinafter, the “County” or “Alachua County”) is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or entities (hereinafter, referred to as "Consultant” or the “proposer”) for the provision of RFP 24-38-LC Annual Alachua County Jail Inmate Phone System and Services.

Alachua County has moved to an Agency Paid inmate phone system where the County will be charged monthly for inmate calls either on a per-minute basis, fixed monthly cost per inmate based on the average daily inmate population, or an annual yearly cost as a lump sum for all services.

The County is issuing an RFP to review proposals from any vendor that can install their own equipment, operate, and maintain the equipment at the jail. The chosen Consultant shall provide a fully operational, local, and long-distance, secure, and reliable statewide Inmate Phone Service (IPS). The Consultant -provided IPS system shall be inclusive of all equipment, installation, infrastructure and network, training, operation, and ongoing repairs and maintenance of the entire system and its components.

The deadline for submission is August 2, 2023, at 2 p.m. All proposals must be completed and submitted electronically via OpenGov.

No late proposals will be accepted. Proposals that do not meet the criteria will be rejected. Application rules and instructions, including the complete Request for Proposals (RFP) document, are available on the site and interested vendors are encouraged to read all related documents before beginning an application.
