9-14-17 Commission Regular Meeting

The Alachua County Commission will conduct their Regular Meeting on Thursday, September 14, 2017. This meeting is rescheduled from Tuesday, September 12. The meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the Jack Durrance Auditorium (Room 209) on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).

2. Approval of a Proclamation declaring September 2017 as "Public School Awareness Month" in Alachua County, FL
3. Approval of a proclamation declaring September 10th through September 16th, 2017 as "Suicide Prevention Week" in Alachua County, FL
5. Alachua County – 2017 ICMA Certificate of Excellence
6. Three appointments to Veteran Services Advisory Board
8. Authorization of filing of ejection action; adoption of resolution declaring Tax Parcel 16232-010-000 as surplus and authorizing sale
9. Request approval of the employment agreements for Michele L. Lieberman, Interim County Manager, and Sylvia E. Torres, Interim County Attorney
10. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) Orange Lake Habitat Management Plan
11. Special Pay for Lowe’s Cleaning

There are two public comment opportunities during the Regular Meeting, which enable citizens to speak to items, not on the agenda. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, view it live on Cox Channel 12, or on the County’s Video on Demand website.

Free parking is available for citizens attending the meeting. Please park in the S.W. Parking Garage (105 S.W. 3rd Street, Gainesville) and bring parking stubs to the Alachua County Manager's Office, located on the 2nd floor of the County Administration Building, to receive a chaser validation ticket.
