The Alachua County Commission will conduct a Special Meeting on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. The Commission will discuss available options for the location of the Alachua County Fairgrounds, rank the proposed locations and provide direction to staff. The cities of Newberry, Hawthorne, and Gainesville will propose locations for Commission consideration as well. Robert Pearce of the Stephen Foster Neighborhood, and Rodney Long with Plan East Gainesville have also requested time to address the Board. The meeting begins at 1:30 p.m., in the Grace Knight Conference Room, located on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).

The public is invited to attend this meeting. It will be available to view live on Cox Channel 12, the County’s Video on Demand website, and Facebook Live.
