06-22-15 Alachua County/City of Newberry Joint Special Meeting

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – The Alachua County Commission and the City of Newberry will conduct a Joint Special Meeting on Monday, June 22, 2015. The meeting is at 6 p.m., at Newberry City Hall (25440 W. Newberry Rd, Newberry).

The meeting agenda includes:

1. Recognition of Valor Award recipient
2. Champions Park presentation
3. Alachua County Fire Service Master Plan: future plans to locate an ambulance at Newberry’s Fire Station 28
4. Law Enforcement MSTU: request to create an advisory board comprised of mayors to recommend annual MSTU Millage Rate
5. Anticipated annexation process after repeal of Boundary Adjustment Act: creation of Interlocal Service Boundary Agreement
6. Alachua County’s challenge of the rezoning of 155 acres in Alachua from Planned Use Development to Commercial
