ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – The Alachua County Commission will conduct a Special Meeting on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held in the Jack Durrance Auditorium (Room 209), located on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration building (12 SE 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).

The meeting agenda items include:

1. FY2015 CAPP Advisory Board Funding Recommendations- The Board will consider the FY2014/15 CAPP Advisory Board funding recommendations (approximately $962,745 will be awarded).

2. CHOICES Surtax Use Plan and Indigent Healthcare Trust- The Board will consider the Surtax Use Plan (2015) and the Indigent Healthcare Trust ($7.2 million)

3. Interlocal Agreement between Alachua County and City of Gainesville for the Oversight Board and funding for homeless services at the Empowerment Center- The Board will consider the agreement between Alachua County and City of Gainesville for the Oversight Board and funding for homeless services at the Empowerment Center ($308,000).
