Alachua Home Grown Farm Tours

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is conducting the 4th Annual "Alachua Home Grown Farm Tours" on Thursday, May 1, 2014, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office (2800 NE 39 Avenue, Gainesville). 

The tour bus leaves the UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office at 8 a.m. (please arrive by 7:45 a.m.).  A box lunch will be served.  The registration fee is $20.00 (includes lunch and bus fee).  Registration will be limited to the first 40 pre-paid registrants.  To reserve a seat, payment must be made in advance to the UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office. 

Agricultural products in Alachua County range from beef cattle, vegetables, fruits, nurseries, goats, chickens, and much more. Agricultural value added impacts is a $102 million dollar industry in Alachua County.
