Composting 101 Workshop

downtown-farmers-garden-gainesvilleALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Office of Sustainability, Florida Organic Growers, and Gainesville Compost are hosting a “Composting 101” workshop on Saturday, September 15, 2012, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Downtown Farmers Garden (12 SE 1st Street, Gainesville). The workshop is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
 
Composting is the process of turning organic matter like vegetable scraps and leaves into rich stable organic matter. This workshop will focus on three composting techniques: traditional composting, vermicomposting or worm composting, and bokashi composting.
