The new 4-H year has officially begun, and enrollment for 2026-2027 is now open. 4-H provides hands-on experiences, and youth develop life skills that give them opportunities to explore new interests and gain confidence, knowledge, and experience.
Families who are interested in joining 4-H can explore the wide variety of clubs offered throughout Alachua County by visiting the club directory. Opportunities are available for youth interested in livestock, horses, STEM, shooting sports, leadership, community service, creative arts and more.
Why enroll now?
- Youth must be enrolled in 4-H Online by Dec. 1 if they plan to show an animal in the Alachua County Youth Fair & Livestock Show.
- Early enrollment ensures youth can participate fully in club meetings, county events, and state opportunities.
- Enrollment keeps families connected to workshops, contests, events, and important updates from the club, county, and state levels.

New families can create an account and add their youth members.
Alachua County 4-H continues to provide outstanding opportunities for youth leadership and growth. Last year, local youth served as state council officers and state executive board members, participated in the State Fair, and represented our county through clubs, competitions, and statewide and national programs. This year, youth will once again have opportunities to engage in citizenship projects, creative arts, livestock projects, public speaking, STEM activities, leadership development and much more.
