CareerSource North Central Florida (CSNCFL) announces that Alachua and Bradford County residents now have free access to online career training via its’ newest partner, Metrix E-Learning.
CSNCFL, the local workforce development board, enables residents to access the virtual courses designed to strengthen job prospects and promote additional career pathways that drive economic prosperity for local job seekers.
“Metrix’s free online career training provided through us provides our workforce and job seekers with the necessary tools to grow, upskill, or bridge skill gaps as inflation and the cost of living increases,” Phyllis Marty, CEO of CareerSource North Central Florida, explained.

Individuals of all ages can explore career paths, complete online classes, and prepare for industry-recognized certifications to upgrade existing skills or learn new skills (whether an individual is looking for a first job, a new job, or to advance in their chosen field). Certificates and digital badges in areas such as Project Management, Microsoft Word & Excel, HIPAA, Human Resources, Accounting, Food Industry Standards, Leadership, and Team Building are available. Online students can also earn certificates in computer and IT fields such as Networking, CompTIA, Windows, Adobe, and Information Security.
