Waived Dog Adoption Fees Event

Alachua County Animal Services is waiving dog adoption fees on Saturday, January 5, 2019, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Animal Services Headquarters (3400 N.E. 53rd Ave, Gainesville).

According to Alachua County Animal Services Shelter Supervisor Jane Grantman, they want to “help kick-start you on your path to fitness and good health this new year.” She said, “Owning a dog is the best way to get moving on a daily basis. Walking your neighborhood with your four-legged friend will also help you connect with your neighbors and the community at large.”

View all of the adoptable animals on the County’s website or PetHarbor.

Pet adopters must be 18 or older and show ID with proof of current address. If there are already pets in the home, the potential adopter must show proof that owned animals are current on rabies and license. All dogs available for adoption are examined, vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered before leaving Animal Services.
