Survivors of Suicide Support Group

The Alachua County Crisis Center provides a support group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. The Survivors of Suicide (S.O.S.) group meetings are held the first and third Wednesday of every month from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Alachua County Crisis Center (218 S.E. 24th Street, Gainesville). Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, September 19. The group is open to all adult survivors of suicide whose loss is at least six months old.

“The grief of losing a loved one to suicide presents unique challenges that are difficult to cope with alone,” said Alachua County Crisis Center Case Management Coordinator Ariel Drescher. “We invite you to join with others who have experienced similar loss to support each other on the journey towards healing.”

For more information on the group, or for those whose loss is less than six months ago, contact Ariel Drescher at 352-264-6761.
