Public Hearing Concerning the Alachua County Housing Finance Authority's Proposed Issuance of its Multifamily Mortgage Reve

County logoThis is a notice of a Public Hearing concerning the Alachua County Housing Finance Authority's proposed issuance of its Multifamily Mortgage Revenue Bonds, Series 2020, in an aggregate amount of not to Exceed $26,460,000 

Public Notice is hereby given that the Alachua County Housing Finance Authority (the “Authority") will conduct a public hearing on Friday, January 31, 2020, at 9 a.m., or thereafter, at Alachua County Community Support Services (218 S.E. 24th Street, Conference Room A, Gainesville, FL 32641), in accordance with the Tax Equity Fiscal Responsibility Act (TEFRA) on the proposed issuance by the Authority of its Multifamily Mortgage Revenue Bonds, Series 2020 in the aggregate principal amount of not to exceed $26,460,000 for purposes of financing the Project referenced below. The proceeds of such bonds will be used to finance the acquisition, rehabilitation, and equipping of the following Project located at the following location in Alachua County, Florida: 

Owner: Forest & Village Preservation LP
Project Name: Forest & Village Apartments 
Location: 3101 N.E. 15th Street, Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida 
No. of Units: 200 
The aggregate principal amount of tax-exempt Bonds: not exceeding $26,460,000 

If any member of the general public wishes to be heard at the hearing, he or she may do so by appearing in person at the time and place set forth above or by submitting their views in writing delivered at least 24 hours prior to the date and time of the meeting set forth above to Mr. Stephen Weeks, Alachua County Housing Director, at sweeks@alachuacounty.us. 

The purpose of the public hearing is to afford members of the general public an opportunity to be heard with respect to the proposed issuance of the Bonds by the Authority. 

All interested parties are invited to attend and present their comments at the time and place set forth above. 

If any person wishes to appeal any decision made by the Authority with respect to any matter considered at this hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is made.
