July is Disability Awareness Month

wheelchair accessJuly 26, 2020, marks the 30th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in all areas of public life. In celebration of the ADA and Disability Awareness Month, Alachua County Equal Opportunity Office invites residents to visit their website.

The website features information and links to find out more about the history of the ADA, Service Animals, tip sheets on Effective Communication, White Cane Awareness, fair housing, and other helpful and educational materials.
