Foster Grandparent Program Volunteers Needed

FGPThe Alachua County Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) is currently seeking volunteers, ages 55 and up, to be positive role models and provide one on one academic assistance to students. Foster Grandparents work one-on-one with children, especially in Head Start classes, elementary schools, and after-school programs. Volunteers must meet income qualifications, be in good physical health, and pass a background screening.

In return for their service, volunteers receive a bi-weekly non-taxable stipend, a daily meal, mileage reimbursement, and supplemental insurance.

Learn more about the program at the FGP website.
