February Agriculture and Natural Resources Program

weedsThe UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Agriculture and Natural Resources Program for February 2020. This program is being offered by Dr. Kevin Korus, Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent, at the UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office (2800 NE 39 Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32609).

Natural Areas Weed Management (Prep Course for Pesticide License Exam) – February 27, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This course is offered as a preparatory course for the Natural Areas Weed Management Pesticide Applicators 
License Exam.  Core and Natural Areas Weed Management CEUs will also be available.

Class topics include General Standard Core, types of pests, weed control in natural areas, plant ID practice, pesticide label, and herbicide calculations.

The registration fee is $25.00 (includes materials and lunch). Participants must register online (those needing assistance with registering can call the Extension Office at 352-955-2402) by February 24. There are no refunds for the registration fee.
