The Alachua County Office of Waste Alternatives will be hosting a sale of the "Earth Machine" home composter from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at the Annual Master Gardener Plant Sale and Ag Fest. The event is at the UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office (2800 N.E. 39th Avenue, Gainesville). The Earth Machine is sold on a first come, first served basis, but residents can order composters when supplies run out.
The Earth Machine home compost bin, which normally retails for $100.00, is on sale for $40.00 with tax included (cash or checks only).

The Office of Waste Alternatives reminds citizens that free mulch, which can be used for compost, is available at the Leveda Brown Environmental Park (5115 N.E. 63rd Ave, Gainesville).
