Other than emergency services, all Alachua County government offices will be closed on December 25, 26, 2017, and January 1, 2018, in observance of the Christmas and New Year’s Holidays.
Curbside Waste Collection/Collection Centers
Due to the observance of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays on Monday, December 25, and Monday, January 1, residential curbside collection service for solid waste, recycling and yard trash will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week following each holiday. The regular schedule for these services will resume the following week. Holiday closures for Alachua County Solid Waste Facilities include:
Administrative and Waste Collection Offices - closed December 25, 26, and January 1
Rural Collection Centers - closed December 25, and January 1
Leveda Brown Environmental Park & Transfer Station - closed December 25, and January 1
Hazardous Waste Collection Center - closed December 25, 26, and January 1

Animal Services
Animal Services will be closed on December 25, 26, and January 1. All other days, offices will be open regular hours (10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday).
