Americans with Disabilities Act 31st Anniversary Webinar

The Alachua County Equal Opportunity Office and the City of Gainesville's Office of Equity and Inclusion invite residents to celebrate the 31st anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in all areas of public life. They are hosting an ADA webinar on Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 10 a.m. to noon. The webinar is free, but participants must register online.

Participants will learn about equal opportunity and equal access, including State and local government services and places of public accommodations. Participants will also learn about advocacy and support services.

Presenters include Disability Rights Florida Executive Director Peter Sleasman and External Affairs Coordinator Paula Roberts, and from the Center for Independent Living, Niusha Nazar Kazemi.
