Alachua County Land Conservation Board Vacancy

bird in riverAlachua County is seeking applicants to fill openings on the Land Conservation Board (LCB). The committee meets every month, on the last Thursday of month, at 5:30 p.m., at the Alachua County Environmental Protection Department (408 W. University Avenue, Suite 106, Seagle Building, Gainesville).

The LCB provides an opportunity for citizen involvement in the selection of Alachua County Forever Conservation Lands. The Board reviews and recommends properties for acquisition through the Alachua County Forever Program to the County Commission, and provides recommendations on stewardship issues. The LCB currently has 2 citizen-at-large position vacancies and a citizen-at-large alternate vacancy.
