Affordable Housing Advisory Committee Vacancies

Alachua County is seeking to fill several vacancies for the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC). AHAC’s mission is to review policies and procedures and various regulations of Alachua County and to recommend actions or initiatives to encourage affordable housing to the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners. AHAC meetings are typically held every third Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Department of Community Support Services (218 S.E. 24th Street, Gainesville).

Residents interested in preserving and expanding the availability of safe, affordable housing for very low to low income families in Alachua County are encouraged to apply. AHAC is seeking positions such as an advocate for low-income persons in connection with affordable housing, an Alachua County resident, and representative for laborers actively engaged in housing construction.
