11-15-23 Planning Commission Meeting

The Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, Gainesville). This meeting begins at 6 p.m.

The Committee will take public comments in person only. The meeting can be viewed on Cox Channel 12, the AC TV app (Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Roku), or the County’s Video on Demand website.

Z23-000006 (Cuscowilla Fire Station Special Use Permit) - This is a request by Clay Sweger, agent, for Alachua County, owner, for a special use permit to allow a Fire/Rescue Facility on approximately 5 acres in the Rural Agricultural land use designation (one dwelling unit per 5 acres) with an 'A' (Agricultural) district located at 12264 South US Highway 441 on Parcel 16392-000-000. If approved, the special use permit would allow a fire rescue/emergency services station on US 441 near the Town of Micanopy and will serve the surrounding area including residents within Micanopy.
