10-5-21 Commission Special Meeting

The Alachua County Commission will conduct a hybrid Special Meeting on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, Gainesville). The meeting begins at 1:30 p.m. The Commission will discuss solar policies, re-organization, and the new Deputy County Manager.

The Commission will take public comment in person or by calling 1-800-741-8011. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status. The public may view the meeting on Cox Channel 12, Facebook, and the County’s Video on Demand website.

  • Confirmation of Carl Smart as new Deputy County Manager
  • Presentation of Administrative Order to reorganize departments and offices
  • County department structure and definitions and at will vs. civil service positions
  • County solar policies discussion
