​​Alachua County commissioners will hear a presentation on the Gainesville Alachua County Gun Violence Prevention Alliance five-year strategic plan on Tuesday.

​The plan follows resolutions adopted by both the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners and the Gainesville City Commission declaring gun violence a public health crisis. The two bodies then joined with Santa Fe College to form the partnership, which received funding from the Children’s Trust of Alachua County.
