Solar Power Cooperative Featured on Alachua County Talks

League of Women Voters, Alachua Solar Organizer Wes WheelerALACHUA COUNTY, FL – A new edition of Alachua County Talks featuring an interview with Alachua League of Women Voters Solar Organizer Wes Wheeler premieres Friday July 14, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. on Cox Cable Channel 12, Community 12 TV. The program focuses on the League’s partnership with the non-profit organization FL SUN to form the Alachua County Solar Co-Op, with the goal of making it easier to save money on the purchase of solar panels, while building a community of local solar supporters.

In speaking of the program, Alachua County Talks host Mark Sexton said, “The Alachua County Solar Co-op offers County residents a great opportunity to save money on solar panels now, so they can save on energy for years to come. The co-op simplifies the process of going solar while providing a discount through its bulk purchasing power.”

The latest editions of Alachua County Talks air on Cox Channel 12 at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. every night except Thursday, and at 7 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. and 12 a.m. every day. Special or regular County Commission and Gainesville City Commission meetings may preempt any showing.
