School Planning Advisory Committee Vacancies

The Alachua County Commission is looking for applicants interested in serving as community members on the School Planning Advisory Committee (SPAC). The SPAC was established by the Alachua County Public Schools in accordance with the Interlocal Agreement for Public School Facility Planning. The purpose of the committee is to review potential sites for new schools, proposals for significant school expansions and potential closure of existing schools. The committee will submit recommendations to the Superintendent of Schools. The deadline to apply is Thursday, March 22, 2018.

The SPAC meets on most Friday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon at the School Board’s Fred Sivia Tech Support Center (3700 NE 53 Avenue, Gainesville). Information about the SPAC can be found on the School Board’s website.
