Environmental and Community Horticulture Program

kaleThe UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Environmental and Community Horticulture program for August 2021. This program is being offered by a Master Gardener Volunteer.

How to Grow All Your Greens – Year-Round – August 17, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is a Zoom webinar.

Growing greens in Florida can be challenging, as not all crops will tolerate our hot, pest-prone summers. Participants learn how to grow both traditional and alternative crops of greens year-round. The topics include successful tips for site, seed, and plant selection guidance along with options for warm and cool season greens.

There is no registration fee, but participants must register online. This workshop is limited to 100 participants.
