Update #3 T. S. Fay Preparedness

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL. - With the possibility of Tropical Storm Fay's high winds and heavy rains, the Alachua County Office of Emergency Management advises that now is the time to assemble a Disaster Supply Kit. Supplies in this kit should include:

  • Non-perishable food
  • Drinking water
  • Flashlights
  • Batteries
  • AM/FM battery operated radio
  • Manual can opener

 There should be at least 5 days of food and water in your kit.

 If you need to evacuate, you should take bedding with you as well as copies of your important papers.
