Dog Kennel Intake Limitations and Renovation Special

Wednesday, December 14, 2016 2:00 PM

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County Animal Services will be undergoing a dog kennel renovation beginning Monday, December 19, 2016, with the completion scheduled for Thursday, February 2, 2017. Their dog kennel space will be limited during this time.

Animal Services is requesting that those who need to surrender a dog wait until the renovation is completed. Those unable to do so should contact Animal Services before bringing in their dog (to check space availability). Animal Services apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Animal Services is also having a “Renovation Special.” All adoption fees for dogs are waived during the renovation.

Pet adopters must be 18 or older and show ID with proof of current address. If there are already pets in the home, the potential adopter must show proof that owned animals are current on rabies and license. All dogs and cats available for adoption are examined, vaccinated and spayed or neutered before leaving Animal Services.
