Tropical Storm Hermine Update 09-02-16 12:30 p.m.

​ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – Traffic in both directions is closed to through traffic at the 6800 block of Millhopper Road. There are two large trees down. Crews are on scene, and working on removal.

The special needs shelter at the Gainesville/Alachua County Senior Center is scheduled to close at 1 p.m.

The 311 Rumor Control phone number is active. Please use it to verify the most up to the minute information on Tropical Storm Hermine. For life-threatening emergencies call 911. If you see downed trees on a public road or right-of-way, call 352-955-1818 to report the situation. The appropriate agency will be informed and crews will be dispatched when available.
