ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – The Alachua County Commission will conduct two Special Meetings on Tuesday, January 19, 2016. The meetings begin at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., in the Jack Durrance Auditorium, located on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).

The 10 a.m. meeting agenda includes:

1. FY17 Budget Guidelines
2. Preliminary Classification and Compensation Results
3. Request to Donate Fire Rescue Vehicle to Cross Creek Volunteer Fire Department
4. CONSENT: Tiny House Construction

The 1:30 p.m. meeting agenda includes:

1. Charter-based Annexation
2. Presentation on the use of civil citations for misdemeanor marijuana possession

The public is invited to attend the meetings. They will be available to view live on Cox Channel 12 or on the County's Video on Demand website.

Free parking is available for citizens attending these meetings. Please park in the S.W. Parking Garage (220 S.E. 2nd Ave, Gainesville) and bring your parking stub to the Alachua County Manager's Office, located on the 2nd floor of the County Administration Building, to receive a chaser validation ticket.
