ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the 3rd Annual 4-H 5K Little Run on the Prairie. The event is on December 5, 2015, at the Payne's Prairie Preserve State Park (100 Savannah Boulevard, Micanopy). Registration is from 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. The race begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by an awards ceremony at 9:30 a.m. The registration fee is $25 (fee includes a t-shirt). Participants must register before November 28 to guarantee a t-shirt.
Proceeds from the run support 4-H clubs, school enrichment programs, and summer camps. After the race, there will be a presentation about the Prairie by a park ranger, and guests can make their own healthy smoothie using the “Eat4-Health” blender bike. Prizes will be awarded, and snacks will be provided.
