08-19-15 Planning Commission and 08-20-15 Development Review Committee Items

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – The Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at 6 p.m. The Alachua County Development Review Committee will meet on Thursday, August 20, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. The Planning Commission will meet in Jack Durrance Auditorium (room 209). The Development Review Committee will meet in the Community Treasures Conference Room (on the first floor). Both meeting are in the County Administration Building (12 SE 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).

Item for the Planning Commission

CPA 03-15 - A County-initiated amendment to the Alachua County Comprehensive Plan: 2011-2030 to amend the Future Land Use Element Objective 6.4 and related policies by streamlining procedural requirements for delineation of Rural Cluster boundaries.  It will also clarify the purposes of optional special area plans for Rural Clusters.  In addition, the proposed changes, if approved, will clarify policies to preserve the existing character of Alachua County’s Rural Clusters. Powell Boat Dock and Boat House - A public hearing to consider a Final Development Plan and Floodplain Development Permit Review for the construction of a new boat house and addition to an existing dock to total more than 1,000 sq. ft. on approximately 0.57 acres located at 3426 S.E.
