07/15/15 Alachua County Commission/City of Alachua Joint Special Meeting is Canceled

​ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The advertised joint public meeting between the City Commission of the City of Alachua and Alachua County Board of County Commissioners, scheduled for July 15, 2015, has been CANCELED by agreement of the Commissions. 

The joint meeting was to be held for the purpose of discussing and attempting to resolve issues related to City of Alachua Ordinance 15 03, amending the City’s official zoning atlas, which is the subject of pending litigation between the City and the County.  The Commissions have agreed hold a joint mediation session to attempt to resolve these issues, at 1 p.m. on August 18, 2015 at the Alachua City Hall, 15100 NW 142nd Terrace, Alachua, Florida.  This mediation session will be assisted by a professional mediator and will be open to the public.
