December Commercial Horticulture Program

watermelonALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Commercial Horticulture Program for December, 2014. This program is being offered by Aparna Gazula, Commercial Horticulture Agent, at the Straughn IFAS Extension Professional Development Center (2142 Shealy Drive, Gainesville).

2014 Suwannee Valley Watermelon Institute
– December 2, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Educational sessions include: bacterial disease in watermelon, water regulation updates, research on petiole sap testing and much more. Pesticide Applicator and Certified Crop Advisor CEUs will be available.
No registration fee - lunch and dinner will be provided.  Please pre-register by November 26, at 386-362-1725, ext. 101.
