Animal Services Teams Up with LifeSouth Community Blood Center

Adoptable dogALACHUA COUNTY, FL - On Saturday, November 8, 2014, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. the LifeSouth mobile unit will be at the Alachua County Animal Services (ACAS) headquarters (3400 NE 53rd Ave, Gainesville) accepting blood donations.  Every blood donor will be able to waive the adoption fee for new pets or sponsor the adoption fee of their favorite dog or cat.  The event also offers the opportunity for visitors to learn more about the new Heart 2 Heart Partnership Program and meet dogs participating in the program.

The Heart 2 Heart Partnership Program seeks partners to sponsor the treatment and care of heartworm positive dogs at ACAS. View a brochure with more information about this program.
