ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Residential curbside collection service for solid waste, recycling and yard trash will not be affected by the Veterans Day holiday. The regular schedule for these services will occur on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2009. The Transfer Station at the Leveda Brown Environmental Park will be open during their regularly scheduled hours. The five Alachua County Rural Collection Centers are regularly closed on Wednesday and Thursday and will reopen as scheduled on Friday November 13th.
The Office of Waste Collection and the Hazardous Waste Center at the Leveda Brown Environmental Park will be closed on Wednesday. They will reopen on Thursday November 12th.
