ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County Manager, Randall H. Reid has directed that flags on County buildings, parks and other County properties be lowered half staff immediately. Flags will remain at half staff until 8 a.m. on September 21, 2009. The County is honoring Air Force Staff Sergeant Bryan David Berky, who was killed in combat on September 12, 2009 near Bala Baluk, Afghanistan. The community is invited to join the County in lowering flags.
