ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Office of Veteran Services invites citizens to attend the Memorial Day Ceremony on May 25, 2009, beginning at 10 a.m. at Forrest Meadows Cemetery East (3700 SE Hawthorne Rd, Gainesville).
This event will honor those that have died serving our country, with special recognition of former WASP's (Women's Air Service Pilots). Planned events include: flyover, flag ceremony, honor squad, introduction of surviving WW II WASP's and free barbecue.
