Spring Gardening Classes

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Extension Office is pleased to offer the following free Spring Gardening Programs.

All classes will be presented by Wendy Wilber, Environmental Horticulture Agent at either the Alachua County Extension Office (2800 NE 39th Ave., in Gainesville).

  • Vegetable Gardening Trouble Shooting (What Went Wrong?) - March 4th, 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. - Poor growth, no harvest, leaf spot, insects ... we'll figure out what happened and how to correct common garden problems.
  • Lawn Boot Camp - March 18th, 6:30 pm - 8 p.m. - Learn about pest management and disease problems. Also covered is correct watering and fertilizing. Discover different grass types and lawn care techniques.
  • Super Tough Plants for Your Florida Friendly Landscape - March 20th, 3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Some plants thrive and look great in the toughest locations. Learn how to incorporate these tough guys into your low maintenance landscape.
